Certificate-cum-tool kits distribution programme for 2nd hair-stylist batch

Pinnacle Skills Training Centre at Sematilla, Dimapur, organised a certificate-cum-tool kits distribution programme for the second batch of self-employed hair stylist course at its centre on Friday with the deputy commissioner (DC) of Dimapur, Dr. Tinojongshi Chang, as the special guest.

Speaking at the programme, the DC congratulated the passed out candidates and encouraged them to work diligently. He stated that there are enough jobs which the local youth could take up for sustainability of which hair cutting is one of them.

The chief executive of Pinnacle Skills, Dr. Yan Murry, delivered the keynote address, while an invocation prayer was said by Kewi Pfuno, associate pastor of Covenant Baptist Church, Dimapur.

It mentioned that the training is sponsored by the government of Nagaland under innovative programme under the department of Planning and Transformation with Employment and Skill Development as nodal department.

Under the programme, youth from different villages are offered residential training in hair styling. Besides, financial planning and communication skills are also imparted at the centre.

Tools and equipment are provided to successful candidates at the end of the training and a six-month rent for the shop is also provided to the youth.
