Pinnacle skills starts course on GST

Pinnacle Skills training institute introduced Goods & Services Tax (GST) Accounts Assistant course at a programme held at Westcity conference hall, DC Court, Dimapur on Saturday.

GS Paul, assistant commissioner of GST, Government of India and Wochamo Odyuo, additional commissioner of taxes, Government of Nagaland graced the event as the special guests.

Speaking at the programme, Wochamo Odyuo, while appreciating Pinnacle Skills’ effort, encouraged commerce graduates to take advantage of the course. Odyuo pointed that about 10,000 businesses have done GST registration in the state but just about 50% are filing returns on a monthly average. He said that knowledgeable GST executives would help fill this gap and help traders file returns.

GS Paul dwelt into the technicalities of GST filing and stated that the course will be a good foundation course and help executives become GST practitioners.

Also speaking at the occasion, chief executive of Pinnacle Skills, Dr Yan Murry said the course endeavours to develop GST executives to help businesses file their GST returns with ease. He said that the 100 hours course would be introduced in Dimapur and Kohima.
